Abstract

The article substantiates the importance of promotion activities for the development of hospitality in the region. It is noted that such activities combine innovation, marketing, information and become one of the most popular methods of attracting consumers to the destination, announcing the events that take place in it, the benefits of providing certain services in a particular local place and more. The paper reviews the largest tourist portals operating in Ukraine. This, in turn, showed that most of them stimulate the development of a culture of domestic tourism.

The paper notes that the comprehensive promotion of hospitality is carried out through regional tourist portals, which are developed by the executive authorities, the author gives examples of some of them. The article reveals the importance of using modern information technologies for promotion, gives examples of the use of innovative navigation and geolocation technologies for the development of tourist destinations in modern conditions. In particular, attention is focused on such tools as: innovative 3D-maps, interactive network of tourist routes, 3D-panoramas, archival photographs, encyclopedia of nature.

It is proved that a comprehensive approach to the promotion of the hospitality industry will fully reveal the tourist and recreational potential of the regions of Ukraine and promote its effective use.
