ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF RURAL SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Abstract
The article substantiates the need to develop the social infrastructure of rural areas. It is noted that now there is a decline in rural areas due to the destruction of resource potential, the outflow of labour and young people to cities, and a low level of infrastructure support. It is emphasized that rural areas are the main source of ensuring food security in the regions and the country as a whole. The article analyzes and evaluates the development of social infrastructure in rural areas. Administrative and territorial units in the districts of Volyn region in the context of urban, settlement, rural territorial communities are considered. Such indicators as the population of rural areas, the number of pre-school institutions, the number of school institutions, the number of hospital institutions and hospital beds, the number of libraries and club institutions, the volume of agricultural production of rural farms, migration growth of rural areas (reduction) are analyzed. Problems in the development of social infrastructure in rural areas are highlighted. They include: reducing the number of preschool and school educational institutions, health care institutions and hospital beds, and cultural institutions. This requires the development of a balanced regional policy for the development of social infrastructure in order to preserve the potential of rural areas.
