ANALYSIS OF CEREAL PRODUCTION VOLUMES IN THE VOLYN REGION AND FORECASTS REGARDING THE FUTURE PROSPECTS OF THEIR IN-DEPTH PROCESSING IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The concept of sustainable development has gained wide popularity in Ukraine, evidence of which is the implementation of its principles and target orientations in regional development strategies, which ultimately will contribute to the development of in-depth processing based on local natural resources, provide the local population with new jobs, reduce the harmful impact on the environment environment, will contribute to the development of social and economic infrastructure, etc.
The purpose of the study is to conduct an analysis of the volume of production of grain crops in the Volyn region to assess the existing potential of straw biomass, and to make appropriate forecasts regarding its further processing into biogas in order to meet the current social, economic and environmental problems of society in the process of sustainable development.
The main advantages and disadvantages of biogas production from grain straw have been identified. Despite a number of advantages of production from the processing of straw of grain agricultural crops into biogas, significant shortcomings have been identified. In the course of the research, it became clear that the main problems of biogas production from the straw of cereal crops can still be solved by applying appropriate approaches, actions, methods and tools, etc. It was concluded that in the near future, the potential for biomethane production from the straw of cereal crops in the region is expected to increase, which, in turn, will significantly increase the added value of these crops.
Therefore, it is necessary to stimulate the development of complex productions for the processing of cereal waste in the region, because this will lead to positive results of a socio-economic and ecological-economic nature
