TRENDS AND CONSEQUENCES OF LABOR MOBILITY FOR THE ECONOMY OF THE REGION
Abstract
Globalization processes require more and more attention to labor mobility processes, which have a direct impact on the development of the economy not only of individual countries, but also of regions. Labor mobility is a positive process if it contributes to the movement of labor from unpromising to promising types of economic activity, the development of which will ensure the economic growth of the region's economy.
The purpose of this study is to study the trends of changes in labor force mobility indicators, as well as to assess the consequences of their impact on the economy on the example of a separate region - the Volyn region. The negative trends of decreasing the average registered number of employees, the excess of personnel exit processes over the recruitment processes, the increase in staff turnover, the decrease in the rate of change of the gross regional product, which are occurring in the Volyn region and testify to the irrationality of labor mobility processes, have been revealed. It was concluded that the unregulated labor mobility has negative consequences for the economy of the region, in particular for the Volyn region, which in the future may lead to significant disparities in the development of certain types of economic activity and a shortage of qualified labor for the post-war reconstruction and development of certain processing industries. It is proposed to develop measures for economic stimulation of the development of processing industries, which work on the basis of domestic raw materials, as well as the deification of the labor market and the protection of workers' rights
