DIGITAL SKILLS OF MANAGERS AS AN IMPORTANT CONDITION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FUTURE ECONOMY

Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of digital skills of managers as an important condition for the development of the economy of the future. It is known that digital skills are quite important for the formation of managerial competence of future managers. Basic digital skills have been formed, with which managers should start training, for a more significant understanding of their application in work. The digital skills of managers are important not only for individual development and increasing their competitiveness, but also for the life and development of the future economy in general.

In the conditions of digitalization of society, the labor market requires from the higher education system qualitatively trained specialists of various professions who have digital skills.

The introduction of innovations calls for the need to find new approaches to the management of innovative processes in organizations, in connection with which it is necessary to form digital competencies during the professional training of management personnel. Managers of any level and level must be professionals in their field, because many factors that affect the development of the economy of the future depend on them. Accordingly, the manager must be competent in terms of management and have not only industry skills. In this connection, a special role in the training of future managers falls on the system of higher education.

Thus, the essence of managerial competence lies in the ability to perform managerial functions and make competent managerial decisions in a changing world. Digital skills are quite important for the formation of managerial competence of managers.

The problem of possessing such competencies became relevant in connection with the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, which illustrated the digitization of key areas of professional activity, especially management. Also, the digital model of economic relations determines new requirements for the training of future managers in the conditions of the higher education system, for the development of the economy of the future.
