ASSESSMENT OF THE STABILITY OF THE REGIONAL LABOR MARKET TO EXTERNAL THREATS
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to assess the stability of the labor market of a separate region - the Volyn region - to external threats, in particular, those caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and the beginning of a full-scale war. In the conditions of the war, the issue of ensuring the stability of the population labor market will require more and more attention from the state authorities and local governments, in particular in the Volyn region. After all, this region is a border region and there is a constant migration of the population abroad. There is also a negative impact of the increased risks of the transfer of hostilities on the territory of Western Ukraine, particularly from the side of Belarus. In general, the coronavirus pandemic and the full-scale war had a negative impact on the stability of the labor market in the Volyn region. After all, there was a decrease in the number of people who received the services of the employment center, as well as the number of employed unemployed people, the number of unemployed people who received assistance also decreased, and even the number of employed persons who have additional guarantees in the promotion of employment decreased. Therefore, in the future, it is important to implement active measures to decriminalize employment, stimulate the creation of new jobs, increase the economic activity of businesses and wages in the region.
