CLUSTER ANALYSIS OF INNOVATION COOPERATION IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problems of finding directions for improving the efficiency of innovation activity of Ukrainian business entities engaged in technological innovations. To solve these problems, the author studies the specifics of implementing innovative cooperation in different regions for 12 years.
For information support of the process of analysing innovative cooperation in Ukraine, determining the relationship between the level of development of innovative cooperation and the level of innovative activity, their research to identify patterns of changes in their characteristics in various economic and social conditions, a cluster analysis was conducted. For the analysis, we used data from the statistical forms of the innovation activity survey, which reflect the indicators of innovation cooperation, the object of cooperation is technological innovations.
The state statistics service of Ukraine has recorded that enterprises with technological innovations in different regions have implemented innovation processes for the following types of partners: with the participation of enterprises that are members of the same business groups, suppliers of equipment, materials, components, software, clients or buyers of the business sector, clients or buyers of the public sector, competitors or other enterprises of the same industry, consultants and commercial laboratories, universities and other educational institutions, research institutes.
As a result of cluster analysis, separate 8 clusters were built for the regions of Ukraine on the basis of "partner type", with which cooperation is conducted on the implementation of innovation processes, as well as a dendrite - tree-like structure of linear links between the regions of Ukraine for the presence of common features in establishing partnership of enterprises with technological innovations for the implementation of innovative projects.
The results of the conducted research should be used in forming decisions to limit or encourage the action of certain factors that affect the development of cooperation on innovation issues. To use the results of the research in practice, participants in the innovation process or local self-government bodies need to identify factors for establishing interaction, assess their impact on the performance indicators of innovation processes, and form directions for improving regional innovation policy. The results of cluster analysis will also be useful in the formation of economic and mathematical models for optimizing the management of processes for establishing interregional interaction, taking into account the features of the constructed dendrite.
