Abstract

The article discusses the importance of geoinformation technologies in logistics, in particular in transport and warehouse logistics. The application and effectiveness of geographic information technologies in logistics are also considered, the role and peculiarities of their impact on business processes are determined.

The article discusses the key aspects of implementing geoinformation technologies in the logistics sector, which contributes to the efficiency of logistics management. Modern solutions, such as systems (geographic information technologies) and software for cargo monitoring, are analyzed, which allow optimizing delivery routes, reducing transportation costs and improving customer service.

The use of geographic information technologies allows logistics companies to develop more efficient delivery routes, which leads to lower fuel costs, shorter delivery times, and increased customer satisfaction.

Real-time systems based on geoinformation technologies allow tracking the location of goods, which ensures transparency in delivery processes and allows for quick response to unforeseen situations. Potential difficulties associated with the implementation of geographic information technologies, such as high initial costs, the need for staff training, and data security issues, are discussed.

The article provides examples of successful use of GIT in well-known companies and explores potential challenges and risks associated with their implementation. Particular attention is paid to the integration of GIS solutions with other enterprise information systems. The article also emphasizes the importance of geoinformation technologies for the development of companies' competitiveness in today's dynamic business environment.
