ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE NUMBER OF GAS PRODUCTION AND GAS FUEL DISTRIBUTION ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the number of gas production enterprises and the distribution of gaseous fuel through local (local) pipelines. The purpose of the article is to assess the number of gas production and gas fuel distribution enterprises in Ukraine as a whole and the Volyn region. In Ukraine, the activity of gas production and distribution of gaseous fuel through local (local) pipelines is one of the important branches of the economy, as it provides the population and business entities with gas. However, it suffered negative consequences during the war. In Ukraine, few economic entities are engaged in the production of gas and the distribution of gaseous fuel through local (local) pipelines. In general, the number of enterprises for the production and distribution of gaseous fuel through local (local) pipelines in Ukraine decreased in 2022 and increased in 2023 by 362 units. The share of enterprises engaged in gas production and distribution of gaseous fuel through local (local) pipelines is 10.4-11.46% in Ukraine, 1.2-1.8% in the Volyn region. The main share in the structure of the number of enterprises from the studied industry, 74-75%, is occupied by enterprises engaged in gas trade and 20-22% by enterprises engaged in the distribution of gaseous fuel through local (local) pipelines. During 2021-2023, the number of enterprises distributing gaseous fuel through local (local) pipelines decreased from 84 in 2021 to 81 in 2023, and in the Volyn region their number did not increase - 1 enterprise is a large joint-stock company. In 2023, the number of large enterprises engaged in gas distribution and trade increased. At the same time, there are no large gas production enterprises in Ukraine. The main share among large enterprises is occupied by gas distribution enterprises (50-75%, their share decreased in 2023) and gas trade - 25-50% (50-75%, their share increased in 2023). In Ukraine, in 2023, there will be 3 units of large gas distribution enterprises, 3 units of gas trade.
